The Camino itinerary

This tour will give you the chance to experience a French section of the ancient pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostella in Spain. For hundreds of years now, pilgrims, walkers and travellers have taken this route to Compostella to discover the tomb of St James. The walks will average about 17 kilometres per day, crossing the picturesque Gers and Tarn et Garonne regions and finishing in the Béarn region.

This tour is suitable for experienced walkers. We will follow the Le Puy trail, said to be the most beautiful. The grade of the walk is moderate. All your luggage, other than your day packs, will be carried for you by bus. The trail includes unsealed roads, forest and country lanes and if you don’t feel like walking you have the choice of a rest day. During the 9 days we will change hotels four times. For better enjoyment of the tour we do recommend that you train for this walking tour, including some long distance with moderate inclines. Plenty of rest time will be allocated during the day to better enjoy the walks. The full distance of the tour is 102 kilometres over 6 walking days.
