The Hautes Pyrenees region, known because of the Tour de France, has spectacular views, a national park abundant with rare fauna & flora and mountain villages overflowing with character, charm and history. The beautiful village of Arreau will be our base for the tour.

Arreau is a beautiful village located in the heart of the Hautes Pyrenees. The village is situated on the banks of the Neste River and is surrounded by mountains. Arreau is a popular tourist destination due to its stunning scenery, its rich history, and its charming atmosphere. The village is home to several historical monuments, including the 13th-century Château d’Arreau and the 12th-century Église Saint-André. Arreau is also a great base for exploring the surrounding area, which is home to several hiking trails and other outdoor activities.

Pyrenees Walking tours offers a 9-day walking tour in this region and is perfect for anyone who loves to hike, explore, and experience new cultures. No prior hiking experience is necessary, but you should be in good physical condition

  • Arreau: This is the base of the tour. It is a beautiful village located in the heart of the Hautes Pyrenees.
  • Gouaux: A village located in the Hautes Pyrenees. Participants will go on a 5-hour hike village to village, including a visit to a goat farm.
  • Azet: is the village where we have lunch St Lary is a a ski resort village where we end our walk.
  • St Lary: is a a ski resort village where we end our walk. 
  • Héchettes: A village located in the Hautes Pyrenees. Participants will go on a 14km walk on the Santiago De Compostella trail to Héchettes.
  • Esparros: A village located in the Hautes Pyrenees. Participants will visit one of Europe’s most amazing abysses, followed by a visit to a working water mill still producing flour. We will also have a food and wine discovery lunch and play pétanque!
  • Néouvielle: A natural reserve located in the Hautes Pyrenees. Participants will go on a 4.5-hour walk around the lakes.
  • Pineta Valley: A valley located in the Pyrenees Mountains. Participants will go on a 5-hour walk in the Pineta Valley.
  • Louron Valley: A valley located in the Pyrenees Mountains. Participants will go on a 5-hour walk to the refuge of Soula via the gorges of Clarabide.Nest
