Midi Pyrénées region

The Hautes Pyrenees made famous by the tour de France has spectacular breath taking views, a national park abundant with rare fauna & flora and mountain villages overflowing with character, charm and history.

Day 1

All participants will be met in Lannemezan railway station and taken to the hotel in Arreau. Timetable to be confirmed a few months before the start of the tour. [Train tickets not included in package].Welcome drinks followed by dinner at the hotel

Day 2

Bus trip to Gouaux for a 5-hour walk village to village including a visit to a goat farm, finish in Arreau. Picnic lunch. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 3

Bus trip to the Col D’Azet for a 4-hour walk starting between the Aure and Louron valleys following the trail down to St Lary. Light lunch at a local Auberge. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4

Start in Arreau for a 13km circuit walk crossing part of the Santiago de Compostella trail. Picnic lunch. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 5

Bus trip to Esparros to visit one of Europe’s most amazing abysses followed by a visit to a working water flour mill and then a wine tasting. Lunch will include a taste of the south! Dinner in a nearby restaurant.

Day 6

Bus trip to the natural reserve of Néouvielle for a 4.5-hour walk around the lakes. Picnic lunch. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7

Bus trip to Spain for a 5-hour walk in the Pineta Valley. Picnic lunch. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 8

Free time in the morning during market day before making our way to Loudenvielle for a walk around the village and lake followed by lunch. Dinner in a nearby restaurant.

Day 9

The bus will take all participants to Lannemezan railway station, details will be confirmed a few months before the start of the tour.
